Manchester Settlement runs Education programmes for young people aged 14-16 who are not reaching their full potential in mainstream school.

Since 2002 we have delivered a successful education provision aimed at re-integrating young people back into mainstream school or further Education.

We work in partnership with Greater Manchester high schools.

The under 16s education programme is inspected by OFSTED, DCSF Registration number 352/6067.

 

The school day begins at 9am. A free breakfast is available from 8.45am. School finishes at 2.30pm daily. A normal school day will involve core subjects in the morning (maths, English, science) with PHSE, Sport, Art and Skills for Employability each afternoon.

WHAT WE STUDY

Our pupils and parents recognise how we provide a unique package of care, support and teaching which sets our pupils up for making successful next steps.  Within our curriculum we work towards achieving the standard GCSE level subjects including Sport.  We also specialise in Art ,Drama, music, citizenship, personal development and careers advice. Sexual Health, Drugs and Alcohol awareness, conflict resolution, communication, emotional literacy.  Healthy living, issue based work & Independent living skills.
