OUR HOUSING PROJECTS

SUPPORTING YOUNG ADULTS

Manchester Settlement have been supporting young people to live independently for 25 years.  Currently we run four different projects perhaps one of them could help you?

FIRST KEY HOMES

For young people leaving care this is a project made up of 5 shared houses in the Openshaw area.

You will receive between 2 and 5 hours of direct support a week, helping you gain the skills an experience you need to live independently.

You can stay with us for up to 2 years and we will actively work with you to find you your best next step.

Each house accommodates 3 young people in their own rooms with shared living space kitchen and bathroom

NEXT STEP HOUSING

For care leavers moving on from our shared fully supported accommodation.  This will give you your first taste of independent living staying with us for up to a year in one of our individual flats.

You will still receive mentoring and coaching from one of our trained workers. Who will concentrate on getting you ready to take up your own tenancy?

We have 4 next step flats funded by The Lloyds bank Foundation

HOUSING RELATED SUPPORT

For young people at Risk of Homelessness as part of Manchester City Council’s Young Person’s Housing Related support pathway.

We have 4 individual flats in the Openshaw Area, our aim is to support you to learn how to live independently and move you on to the next tenancy and stage in life.

You will receive on average 3 hours of support a week, focusing on living skills and getting you settled in meaningful activity

NEXT STEP HOUSING

Are you a care leaver and want to get involved in planning, running or taking part in a range of different activities, all designed by you to broaden your experience skills and confidence?

We are setting up a project funded by Lloyds Bank Foundation, this project will support you in putting on a program of different activities designed to widen your horizons.
